hi, i really resent what that idiot Mohammed wrote about khalid. he is not gay, far from it. as a teenager he had all sorts of female crushes, i know because i was like one of his closest friends. you guys should stop this campaign of hate. if you knew the real khalid as i did when he lived in england you'd know he is a great guy, very caring, very loving talented multi-faceted individual. he is straight and thats that. i think mohammed has problems with his own sexuality.

I totally agree regarding this kid Khaled Mattar, he is not suitable to be working as a Rj, Nile FM management could reconsider. Someone has to guide them to this blog though.
Alison Esprit was a nightmare with her giggle, I like the DR. and Lou, otherwise I would recommend more suitable candidates for RJ posts if any become available and choose them without a competition.
I would choose them not too much American or British accent, cause these both irritate experienced listeners, try to get the ones that have an Egyptian Identity. And forget about commercial music
stick to Rock and house. I have a lot to say, but no time, and no patience to do someone else work for them. SAFI & LOU rule.

Indeed his accent is quite annoying, whether it's fake or real. I also find it a bit annoying that he tries to mimic Safy's style, and desperately attempts to come out funny.

However, NileFM's problem is now far beyond annoying presenters. This stations started out as a really strong one, and turned out a disaster! The music selection, ads, discussion topics, everything looks like it was masterfully designed to annoy the poor listeners stuck in traffic!

As for the "knob" comment above, we don't really have much of a choice do we? What are we going to listen to? NogoomFM? LOL!

I hope one day we'll have a decent music radio that we can listen to in Cairo.

hi guys, its me again. i want to apologize once again for mocking khalid. i shouldn't have revealed his private life and i don't really believe he was gay. i guess the bully in me was coming out again. forget everything i said, erase it from your minds, i never said it at all. i see many people were offended by my idiocy, i guess i have to grow up.

best of luck to khalid and lets hope he goes on to become a famous singer like he always wanted to be. (ooops i did it again).

Well, Jean wasn't insulting Khaled as far as I can see. He was just saying his respected POV.

Well in a matter of fact I think Nile FM (as well as Negom FM) are pretty retarded in many ways with many shallow (so shallow) presenters who have great belief (out of no where) that they have Super amounts of what normal people call (Sense of Humor). But well I usually tell myself that these radio stations are still the best in their market environment. And the solution to my problem with them ends when I change the station or simply run my favorite music tracks.

My blame is really for the guy called Mohammed who says he knew Khaled long ago. Well, in a matter of fact I knew Khaled long ago as well. We were close friends back in the day. I won't say good words about Khaled just because we used to be friends for example. Actually I think he is average compared to other annoying presenters (Including know-it-all Nile FM presenters as well). But I really hated when Mohammed talked about details of Khaled's past life. It wasn't really good to bash someone based on his immature teenager or childhood experience. For example maybe I was a geek or a nerd or a liar or even gay (Khaled is not gay as far as I know btw) back in the day (After all, did anyone of us have a wonderful and perfect personality when we were younger?) but what matters to me and everyone of us as people is what we became and what we will become in the future. Depending on the development we are making to our personalities, we create a new person who is very different from our older selves.

Now we have Khaled the guy who is a presenter in one of the most successful stations ever to broad cast in Egypt. Some people dislike him, while some people like him, but my point here is that he became someone very different from before. He is still intelligent with many skills and talents, and most importantly he is no longer with the personality from his childhood which Mohammed has just talked about (I am still surprised Mohammed says he is feeling bad for what he have done back in the day, and is still telling those secrets of that guy's life).

My advice to Khaled if he one day sees these words is to learn from his mistakes and try to satisfy his listeners. After all it's his job to do so.

Btw, his accent is not fake really but I think he is very faking the "Yaaay" and "Woooow" parts :D (But still, it's something in the lines of overreacting styles of most presenters and also many Arab people who think their English is good enough to use it as a show tool)

Finally I have to say that I really Hate the DJ OSANE because his English sucks badly and I have only seen the "It's never too late" clip for him :P . So my POV that (it's never too late) for DJ OSANE and other people who had learned English in an "under the basement" workshops to either stop using English or to rethink in taking some courses :D (Khaled's English is OK, and is not included in the list of ppl I am talking about. Just stop the Yaaay and Woow already dude ;) )
