I have been using Ubuntu for almost the past 3 years, and other Linux distros before that but not by long (Yeah, I’m not only a Mac freak :P ). Today, I gave Kubuntu and Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron a spin.
I tried out Kubuntu with KDE4. It was new, fresh, sexy but sluggish. Not my type. Didn’t really like it.
It was not long before I tried out Ubuntu 8.04. Installation was easy, the new partitioner seemed better (specially for new comers), and not a single problem with the installation.
Installing Flash on Firefox, was as simple as following a few steps. Flash works flawlessly, better than all previous versions, without any lagging or the old unnecessary stupidity.
What really caught my eye this time was the "Download from Server for Egypt" in the Software Sources.

Also, the "eg." prefix in when it was downloading some files from the servers.

No need to get too excited though, when I traced the IPs they were located in the UK.
Nevertheless, the experience so far is just great.
