Apple has the worst service ever. Worse than you could ever imagine. Please reconsider before buying an Apple Computer in Egypt.
I had a problem with my spacebar on my keyboard, and actually their "service people" made it worse. It has now been two weeks, and my problem has not been solved yet. Too bad that I switched to Mac. I think it was a big mistake.
Update:
This is quite late, but the spacebar was fixed as per this post. Nothing can replace a Mac. :)

I am considering buying a mac because I am getting fed up with windows compatiblity issues, but I am moving to Egypt in a month. Would you mind sending me an email with where you are getting you service? If I cannot find service, I may just try to bear the windows machine =/
i have also had very bad luck repairing my mac here. apple line forgot what i asked them to do and a month later i picked up my computer, paid a bunch of money and for what? I still have the same problem. Surely there is someone else in this country that can repair a mac?

Hi there! I couldn’t find details on any Apple retailer in Egypt (if they have any, that is) and I am in desperate need to get a new charger adapter for my laptop as my charger just caught fire went bust!
While googling, I came across this blog of yours instead. Could you direct me as to where I can go to buy a new charger adapter?

i bought my laptop from dubai.. its was working fine for the past 2 years but last week for some reason it didnt switch on.. im travelling egypt next week please i dont know anything in egypt.. you guys think its a good idea to fix my laptop there.. is it poosilble??.. i think the motherboard or something with the screen that needs to be fixed.. please reply thanxs

Hello, I too was looking online for where in Egypt (specifically Cairo) there is an apple authorised repair shop. I am moving to cairo for a year, and will be bringing my macbook with me. I am considering getting the apple care warranty, but need to know if there are some reliable apple authorized repair places first, since that is the only way i can use the warranty. If you could please let me know of some suggestions, that would be great.

Oh. It’s clear this thread is very old but why not try:) Could somebody send me the phone number or address of this apple repair center in Cairo, Egypt.
Any repair center for any brand in Egypt is usually not up to the level of repair centers in Europe America or Asia. But in any case “Apple line” repair centers in Cairo are better than other brands repair centers which practically make more problems than repairs.
I bought a macbook from ebay 2.4 ghz 2 Ram 160HD for about
6500 + 500 customs and after using it by 2 weeks when i get to charge the laptop it dont charge , i don know what is the problem , my friends told me try to get off the battery and put it back and then start charging it , but also the problem still the same ,i guess its the charger , but im not sure …. i don want to go to apple service cuz they r very expensive .. but if there is no hope i will , any one can help ???? or suggest what to do ???
