Maybe… Maybe Not… and Interview Adventures

Finally, after some long strugles, discussions and demonstrations, it seems that I was able to convince one of my clients with one of our systems for their facilities. What does that mean to me? A nice little order :) Hell ya, makes my day…

It's been a long day, and I must admit that I learned a lot. Other than that, I have been getting a lot of advice. Advice is good, but there are limits…

I hate it when people start interfering with my private concerns, like that I should cut my hair. I mean why the f*** shoud I cut my hair if I'm totally happy with the way it is? Yeah, I must admit that it has not been so long for really a hell lot of time (I havn't cut it for 5 months now), and that it does sometime get on my nerves specially with the crazy heat we have in Cairo, but why should I cut it.

Tomorrow, I have some more interview adventures, for some free secreterial (yes, secreterial - no more no less) position at my office. I could write a book of the various and amazing CVs that I have been checking. I'm not really into making fun at people but some things can not be left unsaid. For example, check these ones out;

Preferences furnished up on request

Another one has listed with Shopping being listed as a hobby, which was at the end of the line… followed by the usual and very famous"References furnished upon request" line, which make me think, should I ask for the bills as a reference? - Ger real for crying out loud.

Calling canditates is an adventure of it's own. I still remember a similar incident a year ago. Yesterday, there was one who for a moment, I thought that I have by mistake called a cow.

Me: Is this Ms. X?
Her: Mmmm. Ahh, Ahlan [Mmm, yeah, hello] (not that the Mmmm is more like a cow moo)
Me: *shocked*
Me: I am calling regarding your CV that you sent in response to our ad.
Her: MMMM. Ahhh, when is the interview?
Me: Thursday @ —- hours
Her: MMMMMMM
Me: *shocked squared*
Silence goes on the line
Her: Aloo?
Me: I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with the language you are speaking? What does MMMM mean?

Well, not all of them are that bad… some show real enthusiasm, and look promising. All I got to do is wait and see. Anyways, I'll hit the bed now, long day tomorrow, was a longer day today, and I need ever inch and second of rest and relaxation that I could get.
