The Royal Danish Ballet - La Sylphide - A+
Posted on | January 18, 2006 |
I havn’t really been free since the start of the weekend to blog anything, however I had made up my mind that I had to brag about the La Sylphide Ballet which I attended on Monday.
First, let me tell you what got the Royal Danish Ballet to perform in Cairo. Apparently they were invited by Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak, during here visit to Denmark last year. They came to Cairo with a crew of 90 people, and four 40 feet containers (ooouufff).
Not being a ballet freak myself, I never knew what to expect. For starters, the tickets for all of the three days of the performance were SOLD OUT. We were absolutely very lucky to be able to get last minute tickets.
I will really summerize my impression of the ballet.
- The Performance: A+
- The Music: A+
- The Costumes: A+
- The Set: Way past A+
- Overall: A++
All in all, it was flawless, simple and perfect to the core. A typical Danish Product.
